I design your space and send the boards, layout and shopping list back to you there. You then order what you like, when you like, and put the room together at your own pace. There are no calls to join and no meetings to arrange.

Yes, and it often tells me more than photographs can. A slow walk around the room or garden on your phone shows me the light, the awkward corners, and how you actually move through the space, which is difficult to read from stills alone. Talk over it if you like. Just add it to The Sunday Desk? with your measurements.

Not at all. I work with homes anywhere in the UK. I design from Cardiff, and everything you receive from me is digital.

That’s exactly what the concept stage is for. It comes first precisely so you can change direction before any of the detail is done, when saying so costs you nothing. You tell me what to keep and what to change, and three rounds of revisions are included every time. It isn’t finished until it feels like yours.

No, and that’s deliberate. Your list is clickable and kept within budget, whether it’s a sofa or a rosemary bush, but every purchase stays yours. That way you can spread the cost over time, plant across a season, or find your own pieces along the way.

No. Rented homes, small rooms, north-facing balconies and awkward corners are most of what I do, and they are often the projects where careful design makes the biggest difference. If you rent, renter-friendly is built into the brief from the start: nothing structural, landlord-safe finishes, and containers rather than borders.

The Colour Direction arrives within five working days. The larger designs, the Room Ambience and Garden Sanctuary, usually take two to three weeks from the point your questionnaire, photographs and measurements are all in.

Loads, honestly, and most homes end up a gentle blend of a few. Inside, I live in the calm, natural world: Scandi, Japandi, Danish hygge, wabi-sabi, contemporary minimalism, modern farmhouse, organic modern and coastal Scandi, plus the warmer modern Mediterranean, modern Spanish, modern Middle Eastern and modern cottagecore. Outside, I lean just as natural: naturalistic and new-perennial planting, cottage, Mediterranean, minimalist, Japanese-inspired, gravel, woodland, coastal and kitchen gardens, and wildlife-friendly balconies, containers and rooftops. No, and I want to be straight with you about that. If your design goal genuinely needs structural work, knocking out a wall, moving a window or repositioning a door, that needs a detailed analysis by a structural engineer, on site. It is beyond what I can help with, and I would rather say so now than take your money for a design that cannot be built. Assuming no structural changes are needed, I start by evaluating what your space already has, its proportions, light, sightlines and existing features, and design from there to reach the goal in your brief. That often means altering or improving how those features read, using colour, lighting, layout, materials, scale and pattern, rather than moving anything. A room can change completely without a single wall coming down.

Digital documents you can act on: a concept board first, so nothing catches you off guard, then the final design board once you’ve had your say, a layout drawn to scale, and a clickable list of ethically sourced pieces and peat-free planting, all kept within the budget you gave me. A design, in other words, rather than a build.

Yes. The Room Ambience and the Garden Sanctuary both include thirty days of questions afterwards, because most of the real ones only surface once you start moving furniture or digging.

The Room Ambience covers one room at £495, with each additional room at £375. A whole house is the same work with a longer view, done room by room so that each space sits comfortably alongside the next.

Through The Sunday Desk?, which is also where your design and every message about it lives. Nothing is taken until you have chosen a package and told me you’re ready to begin, and I will never ask you for card details by email or message. Buying the furniture and planting on your list is separate and stays with you, directly with the retailers.

You have 14 days from agreeing to go ahead to cancel and get your money back. If you ask me to start straight away and then stop part way through, you pay for the part already done. If you would rather keep the full 14 days first, just say, and I’ll begin on day 15. It’s all set out on the terms page.

Only if you say yes. The site uses Google Analytics so I can count visits and see which pages are worth writing, and that sets one cookie. You’re asked first, and if you haven’t agreed then nothing loads at all: no script, no cookie, no request to Google. There’s no advertising, no Meta pixel and no profiling, and saying no is every bit as easy as saying yes.
