Room by room
What could your design include?
Choose any one of these rooms. Here is a feel for what your design could cover in each, all delivered in writing.
Entrance hall
A place for keys, bags and muddy boots, a mirror and lamp placed to welcome you home, and colours that set the tone for every room beyond.
Living room

Dining room
The right size and shape of table for how you eat and gather, a pendant hung at the right height, and the warmth that keeps everyone at the table after supper.
Kitchen
Cabinet colour, worktop, tile and handle finishes chosen to work hard and age well, open shelves styled with care, and lighting for cooking as well as for company.
Study
A desk placed for the best light, storage that keeps paperwork out of sight, and a scheme calm enough to think in, even when the study is a corner of another room.
Principal bedroom
The bed placed well, layered bedside lighting, natural linens and colours chosen for rest, and storage that keeps the room quiet.
Bathroom
Tiles, finishes and fittings in a calm, natural palette, light that is bright in the morning and soft at night, and towels, textiles and plants that make it a retreat.
Children’s bedroom
A playful room that can grow with them from nursery to school years, with clever storage, gentle colour and natural materials that stand up to life.
Garden, rooftop or balcony
A layout drawn to scale, seating placed for the sun, outdoor lighting and a peat-free planting list, designed as a room in its own right.
