Our interior design style

Rustic luxury, one timeless look

Quiet luxury with a rustic soul: calm, timeless rooms in honest, matt materials. Rustic warmth, generous empty space, and fewer but better pieces.

What it’s made of

  • Honest, matt materials

Natural wood, limewashed plaster, stone and linen. Nothing shiny, glossy or flashy.

  • Rustic warmth

Warm, earthy tones and texture you want to reach out and touch.

  • Aged and handmade

Beauty in imperfect, aged and handmade things, and in materials that age beautifully.

  • Room to breathe

Generous empty space, and fewer but better pieces.

  • Timeless proportion

Quality and craftsmanship, which keep the look elevated long after trends have moved on.

  • At home in British homes

It sits as comfortably in a period home or a country cottage as it does in a new build.

Warm and earthy

Limewashed plaster, oak, terracotta and stone, with a soft arch and nothing shiny in sight.

Concept visual

Calm and spare

Natural linen, pale wood and a good deal of empty space, so the few pieces in the room can be seen.

004Love this look? Ask for The Reading Corner, fitted to your space

Concept visual of a soft, homely living space with a curved cream armchair, a floral cushion, an aged pine dresser, garden flowers in a stoneware jug and a jute rug

Concept visual

Gathered over time

Aged pine, stoneware and soft curves, so a room feels collected slowly instead of bought in one go.

006Love this look? Ask for The Gathered Sitting Room, fitted to your space

A modern naturalistic garden with steel-edged beds of ornamental grasses, echinacea and salvia, large pale paving and a slim timber bench

Concept visual

Relaxed and abundant

Generous drifts of grasses and perennials, held by a clean frame so it reads relaxed instead of overgrown.

016Love this look? Ask for The Meadow Garden, fitted to your space

A calm gravel garden with drought-tolerant lavender and santolina, a potted olive tree, a sculptural pine, limestone paving and a still water bowl

Concept visual

Sun-loving and pared-back

Drought-tolerant planting set through gravel, with room around each shape. For hot, dry spots, and for calm above all.

015Love this look? Ask for The Still Water Garden, fitted to your space

A modern balcony garden with slim charcoal planters and timber troughs full of ferns, grasses, a compact olive tree and herbs, a slat privacy screen and festoon lights

Concept visual

Small spaces, taken seriously

Wildlife-friendly planting, all in pots, so it suits a rented home and comes with you. A balcony or a rooftop counts as a room.

017Love this look? Ask for The Wildlife Balcony, fitted to your space

Whatever the room, the approach stays the same: what you already own comes first, then natural, low-impact materials, with greenery woven right through. More on how the studio keeps it kind.
